Pilsen Sports Hall could be proud of its absolute monopoly- it is the biggest and above all the highest quality sports area in the west part of the Czech Republic.  The main playing area is partly used by traditional sports as are basketball, handball, football, voleyball and less traditional sports as are floorball or utimate frisbee. The size of main playing area is 47 x 24 metres and has the highest quality of soft-wood board flooring. The capacity of Pilsen Sports Hall during the sports events is for 1260 seated and approximately for 400 standing spectators.

Pilsen Sports Hall (TJ Lokomotiva Plzen) is located in pilsen district called Slovany, in Uslavska Street. It is about 10 minutes on foot or 3 minutes driving from the city centre. You can use public transport (Tram No.2- direction to Slovany - "Habrmannova" stop, Trolleybus No.12 - direction to Bozkov -  "Sladkovského" stop).

Already mentioned soft-wood board flooring, lain in 2002, could be proud of its European hall competitions certificates, so because of that we could quarantee the best conditions for all hall sports.  

The sounding replacement of Pilsen Sports Hall was completely finished in year 2006. Thirty- year-old components have been substituted for modern repro-system, CD/MP3 players, microphones and microports. New sounding fulfil the conditions of sound distribution for spoken word, music reproduction, aerobic events, exhibitions and many other events. 

However, the Main Hall also offers together with sports events cultural events and many other events. It is possible to do concerts, exhibitons or workshops etc. The performances of music stars as are Karel Gott, Helena Vondrackova, Eva Urbanova, Peter Dvorsky and many others have been performed in Main Hall.
